why?

Why do people waste so much food? Why are there people tearing down animal's and people's homes? Why are there people unnecessarily killing animals for their hide, ivory etc just for jewellery? I don't know, but why don't they feel any remorse or guilt?
God let us live on this planet but people just exploit it. Farout, I couldn't kill a helpless animal, destroy other people's homes or anything that hurts people. I feel so bad after it. It nearly makes me cry to see so much pain in the world. =/ I want it to stop.
